Bob Mathers

Bob Mathers is a defense and aerospace executive from the Philadelphia area. He has been operating throughout Europe assisting allies and partners (including Croatia) improve their aviation capabilities since 2021.

Prior to his current role, Bob was a Colonel in the U.S. Army, retiring honorably in 2020. His last duty assignment was at the U.S. Embassy Zagreb as the Senior Defense Official and Defense Attache to Croatia. Previous attache assignments include at U.S. Embassies in Bulgaria and Afghanistan, and Bob has served in temporary assignments in Russia, Ukraine, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. He began his 30-year Army career as an Infantry officer with assignments in Light Infantry and Special Forces units. 

He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (BA in International Relations), Harvard University (MA in Eastern European Studies), and George University (MBA in International Business).

Bob currently lives in Pennsylvania with his wife Laurette and their Croatian “adoptee”: a sweet and very-spoiled former street-dog, Lola. They have two sons working and studying in Philadelphia.
