Vis WWII Memorial Center Advisory Board

The Advisory Board of the Vis WWII Memorial Center brings together distinguished experts whose combined knowledge, integrity, and lifelong dedication ensure the historical accuracy, depth, and international relevance of the project. United by a shared commitment to preserving the legacy of World War II on Vis, the Board supports the creation of a memorial center that honors those who served, suffered, and found refuge on the island during one of history’s most turbulent periods.

Drawing on decades of experience in underwater exploration, military and maritime history, archaeology, photography, publishing, and documentary storytelling, the Advisory Board provides strategic guidance, scholarly oversight, and curatorial insight. Its members have contributed to groundbreaking research, internationally recognized publications, award-winning documentaries, and the preservation of some of the Adriatic’s most significant wartime and maritime heritage sites.

Through close collaboration, the Advisory Board ensures that the Vis WWII Memorial Center is developed as a place of remembrance, education, and international dialogue—grounded in rigorous research, enriched by firsthand expertise, and accessible to future generations.
